WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?

Expert exfoliation. Naturally radiant skin.

Dermaplaning is a precise form of physical exfoliation that removes accumulated dead skin cells and fine facial hair, known as peach fuzz. Using a sterile, professional blade, I work in gentle, controlled strokes across the skin’s surface to reveal a softer feel, smoother texture, and brighter appearance.

At Love Your Skin Beauty, your treatment is complemented with skincare chosen for your individual needs—bringing together expert exfoliation and nourishing care for a fresh, healthy-looking glow.

BENEFITS OF DERMAPLANING

Beyond softer, smoother skin, regular dermaplaning helps remove dead skin buildup and peach fuzz that can leave your complexion looking dull and cause makeup to settle unevenly. This precise exfoliation brightens your appearance, smooths rough texture, and allows skincare products to absorb more readily—creating a fresh, even canvas for makeup or a beautiful, makeup-free glow.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Thoughtful preparation. Personalized care.

At Love Your Skin Beauty, dermaplaning is incorporated into a customized facial experience, with dedicated time for thorough cleansing and skin preparation, followed by nourishing skincare selected for your skin’s needs.

Instant, no-downtime glow

Enjoy brighter, softer skin the moment you walk out, with nothing to hide and no recovery time required.

Flawless makeup application

With peach fuzz and surface flaking removed, foundation applies more smoothly and sits beautifully on the skin—no more caking.

Better product absorption

Serums and moisturizers absorb more effectively through freshly resurfaced skin, helping your skincare work more efficiently.

Safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Dermaplaning is chemical-free and needle-free, making it one of the few resurfacing treatments generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Little to no downtime

You can return to most daily activities after your visit. Mild, temporary redness or sensitivity may occur, and I’ll provide personalized aftercare guidance to keep your freshly exfoliated skin comfortable and protected.

Dermaplaning Myths

Dermaplaning has been growing in popularity rapidly the past few years due to being a non-invasive exfoliation; however, due to the nature of the procedure, there are a few common myths surrounding it many people believe that aren’t actually true at all. Below are some popular myths surrounding dermaplaning:

Myth: The Hair Grows Back Thicker

Hair trimmed from dermaplaning does NOT grow back any thicker or faster than it did before. Factors such as hair texture and growth speed are determined by genetics.

Myth: It Hurts

Many exfoliation procedures can be painful. Even though this treatment uses a surgical tool, dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment that has NO PAIN.

Myth: Not for Certain Skin or Hair Types

Unlike other hair removal methods such as waxing and lasers, dermaplaning is effective on all skin tones and complexions, and all colors and variations of hair.
