Microcurrent
Results are cumulative. Typically clients will notice approximately a 3–5 year reduction in facial age. In a client in their 30’s, the treatment is preventative, but later in life it can be used to strengthen muscle and skin to show dramatic improvement.
Book on VagaroComplementary to Botox, Fillers + Post-Op Healing
Fillers give a quick and effective filling effect, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. However, they do nothing for muscle contour, natural collagen or elastin production, all of which are addressed with microcurrent. A lot of clients and doctors see prolonged effects of Botox when using it in conjunction with microcurrent, and because of its healing properties, microcurrent is recognized as the tool of choice by surgeons for pre and post-op applications.
Even celebrities love it: Paris Hilton. Madonna. Paula Abdul. Jennifer Aniston.

Microcurrent FAQ’s
Does it hurt?
You sit comfortably while electrodes are placed at strategic locations, and a hydrating, nourishing gel is applied to conduct the current. You may feel tiny muscle twitches, but the treatment is painless, though it may be uncomfortable around the mouth area. Most of the sensations are sub-sensory, so many clients feel nothing.
How does Microcurrent work?
Microcurrent stimulates the fine facial muscles with small amounts of electricity, re-educating the muscles in the face and increasing circulation to improve tone and firmness of the skin. Best of all, results are cumulative. Clinical studies have shown that after twenty days of treatment collagen production increases by 14%, elastin by 48%, and amino acids and ATP by up to 500%.
How many sessions will I need?
10–15 consecutive sessions for the face and neck are required to achieve optimal results. You will see visible results on your first treatment, and you’ll notice the best results about 20 days after your first treatment.
Is there any downtime?
Because the treatment is quite simple, it requires very little preparation and there is no downtime. Drink plenty of water beforehand and after treatment to hydrate the skin for better results, and use effective home-care regularly for optimal cell reception.
Who should not have Microcurrent?
- Do not use if you are pregnant
- Do not use if you have a cardiac pacemaker or history of heart disease
- Do not use if you have been diagnosed with cancer or tumors
- Do not use if you have implanted defibrillators/stimulators or other devices
It is also not recommended for those with epilepsy.
Can I combine it with Botox or fillers?
Yes. Utilizing both technologies maximizes the end result: fillers diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while microcurrent addresses muscle contour, natural collagen and elastin production. Recommended microcurrent treatment after Botox and fillers is 2 weeks after.
How much does it cost?
We offer bundle packages with discounted rates for series of treatments. Inquire for details. At your consultation, we will discuss a treatment plan that suits your goals and budget.
